Renewable Energy -- A "Revolution" in Solar Energy Storage, from MIT

One of the principal hurdles to the use of solar energy to heat and power homes and offices, and to power vehicles, has been the inability to store electricity gathered from the sun cost-effectively and practically. Now, from researchers at MIT comes word of a breakthrough discovery that may take solar energy from a limited-use, marginal player to a key component in a mix of practical alternatives to fossil fuel energy generation.
